I had the pleasure of attending the 29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS26) on 27-28 Feb 2026, and it was a great event! Over 1,800 delegates from 24 countries met at the University Cultural Centre, National University of Singapore (NUS), where ideas were exchanged on various topics ranging from (of course) artificial intelligence (AI), to digital transformation, to the changing roles of the nursing profession in making healthcare systems stronger around the world. This conference also marked a major milestone for the NUS Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies (NUS Nursing) — the launch of Singapore’s first Concurrent Degree Program in Nursing and Biomedical Informatics!1 This shows the importance of digital health and nursing informatics in this world of advanced technologies.
Congrats to the EAFONS26 organizing teams at NUS Nursing for a great job putting together this whole program! 👏🎉
