Session 140: Human, Organisational and Social Aspects (8 Jul 2023, Room C4.1)

I am honored to be conducting this workshop with my colleague and friend, Dr Michael Liem, at the School of Psychology and Public Health, La Trobe University at the upcoming MedInfo23 conference, organized by the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH).

During the workshop, the participants will learn how to develop a game story through mini-lectures, group discussions and a hands-on practical walkthrough. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the elements of a good story
  • Develop a simple “play-your-own-adventure” game story using an open-source interactive storyboarding tool

The program of the MedInfo23 conference can be found here: https://medinfo2023.org/program-schedule/

Due to the shortened duration of the workshop, we have modified the session to fit the time limit.

Hope that this workshop will give an interesting and alternative view to the participants on how to develop serious games with an exciting storyline!
